A Better Blind & DraperyThis stunning Contemporary Interior Design project features tone-on-tone color palettes creating a clean elegant home while the vibrant desert vistas add a natural shot of color. Basic clean lines furnishing and accessories were used. To reduce heat, Motorized Roller Shades were used, covered with 4" Bronze Facias that blended seamlessly with slider frames. Strong horizontal-vertical axis was used in the Custom Drapery Design. Fabric columns, in a soft lined linen weave were mounted on polished nickel hardware and flank the large windows expanses.

Tufted linens and slip covered chairs provide a chic but causal look with the classic Bahamian wood furniture. Details such as buttons and banding were repeated along with toile pillows adding to the tailored appearance. Soft white 4" Silhouettes Window Coverings were used to ground the causal elegant style, while providing maximum view and privacy.

Monochromatic and tone-on-tone fabrics were chosen for the drapery, chairs and carpet, allowing the rich desert palate to take center stage. A Better Blind & DraperyDrawing Inspiration from old-world Europe, Adele Berenda designed for this 10,000 sq. Tuscan home. The living room features richly appointed plush down furnishings, mellow aged woods, luxurious silks and velvets in warm shades of gold and reds. The Custom Drapery is a One-Of-A-Kind hand drawn masterpiece. The ceiling required wood to be notched and bent creating an arched frame to mount the drapery to. Strings and pins were use on mock wall to accurately create patterns and placement of each drapery aspect prior to cutting and manufacturing. The gold weave Full Working Sheers were mounted on a bronze iron rod and rings. Next contrast lined Jabots, with gimp trim were attached the frame, followed by Swags with brushed fringe trim. Bronze medallions were mounted between the swags and Jabots. Next the hand painted silk Panels with brushed fringe trim were mounted. Finishing details such as the medallion wall posts, elaborate tassel tiebacks, tassels trims were added, hand sewing of section completed, steaming and the final dressing.
